Old Photos! Reply

My Paternal Grandfather Angelo Agostino Mazzella, husband of Marietta was in his Morris Avenue & E 149 Street apartment and got a call to work in 1929! He was to become the Derrick Steam Engineer for one of the derricks on the Empire State Building! Yes, that's right! My Grandpa actually put the ESB where is is, with his derrick! I still call it Grandpa's building to my family. He was working during the height of the Great Depression! I am proud of him!

Trouble is, we do not have any photos of him taken on the ESB construction site. I know for a fact that they photographed every worker on the building, so he may have been imaged or even filmed and interviewed!

For those who want to know who my Maternal grandparents were, My Maternal Grandpa was Biaggio "Benny" Mazzella and his wife was Maria Civita Mazzella. He was a construction foreman who built railroad coffer dams and houses.
